CONGRATULATIONS SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS - MAJOR MANSFIELD 1, MINOR ALEDO 1 & BANTAM KENNEDALE . . . . .

Guru Ray: Next week I will post everyone's final ratings. Maybe I'll get lucky and answer all the emails that are piling up, too.

Aledo Minor 4 Fan: Did you see the upset you were looking for?? Aledo 4 travels to Kennedale and knocks off the # 1 ranked wildcats in their home stadium…. Not bad….

Guru Ray: That's my kind of game.

Aledo Major 5 Fan: Aledo Major 5 has done it again. This week they beat an 8-1 Joshua Major 2 team in the first round of the playoffs. Not bad for a starting line-up whose biggest player is 103 lbs! I would also like to give a shout-out to the other Aledo Major teams. Aledo fielded 6 major teams this year - 5 made the playoffs; 2 won their divisions, and all 5 are still in playoff contention of the remaining 8 teams! That's awesome!

Guru Ray: Five out of eight is incredible for one town. That says something about the coaches as well as the players.

Aledo Major 5 Fan: I nominate Aledo Major 5 as team of the week in the Majors. Standing at 3-3 two weeks ago, Aledo Major 5 beat Weatherford 1 (who was 6-1 at the time) two weeks ago, and then Brock 1 (who was 4-3 at the time) to make the playoffs. This scrappy, undersized team (not a single weight limit starter) has fought hard all year long and has made great improvement, thanks to a dedicated coaching staff.

Guru Ray: Great. Looking at my spreadsheet I see several stories like that. Perhaps we should have a section where everyone tells how their team has overcome their obstacles.
